Kate Schwemer, DVM

Dr. Schwemer is a North Dakota native who joined the snowbirds by moving south to escape the cold winters. She began her work with animals by volunteering at the local humane society and zoo. She then transitioned into the veterinary field by working at two clinics in her hometown of Fargo, ND while simultaneously obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-Veterinary Studies at Concordia College. She left Fargo for Iowa to begin her DVM degree and graduated magna cum laude from Iowa State University in 2016.

At home, she can be found spending time with her husband and daughter and her furry companions Gustaf, Pastrami, and Fiona. She looks forward to meeting your four-legged family and providing them with a level of care as if they are her own!
